WELCOME TO THE CLOWN

Living with an invisible illness

Home: Welcome

ABOUT ME

I am a clown, I have always been a clown. I am the person that makes everyone laugh. I am the entertainer telling stories, dancing on tables or doing stupid things just to get a laugh. I am the person that gets the party started. I have no off switch. I have no self control when I am drinking. I feel like a joke. I am The Clown.

I am looking forward to removing the mask and revealing what is behind the clowns make-up. To everyone I am this confident woman - raising a family, being a supportive wife and trying to remember all my friends birthdays and be there for them. I am a career woman and have worked full time my whole life doing jobs that I love. I know that people would be shocked if they knew the truth. If I let the game face slip and they saw behind the make up.

Before I start, where all good things start, at the beginning. I must advise you that I am dyslexic, although this was never uncovered at school! I also was terrible at English. To put this in context, I have tried learning a number of languages until a very good friend said "Honey, You need to learn your own language before you learn another!" this was said in a very theatrical Spanish accent.

My point - I am writing this blog from the heart. I am literally just pouring out everything I have kept hidden. Please excuse all grammar mistakes, all spelling mistakes and all waffling. I don't know how to condense stories, I don't know any big words and I definitely am a technophobe however, I do know what its like to live with a parent with a mental illness that has affected my whole life. I also know about my own struggles with two invisible illness's that has tested my own mental health.

So please sit back and enjoy this funny (I hope), positive look at mental health and endometriosis.
